2012 TSDL Vendor Summit

TSDL Vendor Summit

held on August 23, 2012 in Boston, MA

After nearly two years of work with districts and states on the Teacher-Student Data Link Project, including definitions for Teacher of Record and Contributing Professional, business processes, data models, and data validation, the Center for Educational Leadership and Technology (CELT) once again held a summit with major SIS and/or LMS vendors at the DoubleTree Suites in Boston, MA on August 23, 2012. Information was shared with the vendor community in order to be more responsive to K-12 learning organizations.

Topics discussed included:
      • Various Teacher of Record (TOR) definitions adopted by numerous states, the process model to support the definition, and the data required to meet the definition
      • Logical architecture drawings developed or in process by TSDL states
      • A TSDL data model using CEDS 2.0 standards
      • Roster verification and its place in the process
